The ninth edition of the Tyto Tech 500 reveals how Europe’s leading technology voices are evolving into “multi-hyphenate influencers” – figures whose influence spans roles and channels. From CEO-podcasters to journalist-YouTubers, they’re building personality-led platforms and commanding loyal audiences that rival traditional media for reach and impact.

  • Nearly three-quarters (72%) of influencers ranked in this year’s Tyto Tech 500 now run a blog, newsletter, podcast or YouTube channel.
  • More than a quarter (26%) are “multi-hyphenate influencers” with an active presence across two or more platforms.
  • Over half (51%) of journalists in the Tyto Tech 500 publish newsletters, a quarter edit blogs (25%), 16% have YouTube channels, and nearly 11% host podcasts.
  • Journalists (51%), Business leaders (19.4%), and Entrepreneurs (16.4%) are the three largest groups of technology influencers in the 2025 Tyto Tech 500.
  • Business leaders and entrepreneurs are stepping forward as influential voices, with nearly one in five (19%) publishing newsletters and 8% hosting podcasts alongside their corporate roles.
  • AI and Emerging Technology (10.8%), FinTech (9.8%) and Cybersecurity, Risk & Digital Trust (5.4%) lead the pan-European ranking in 2025, while General Tech (56%) captures ‘multi-hyphenate’ voices who spans multiple sectors.
  • The UK leads Europe’s tech influence with 37% of the top figures in the 2025 Tyto Tech 500, followed by France (29%), Germany (21%), and the Netherlands (13%).
