A brand can be defined in many ways. Personally, I like to think of brands as being the essence of your story. Like any story, a brand has a past, present, and future.
This month marks seven years since Tyto’s story began.
Tyto was founded in 2017 to fill a gap in the market. We saw a need for a new type of agency that could help high-growth tech companies scale faster across Europe.
Traditional options for multi-market support across Europe just didn’t cut it. In our experience, they were highly inefficient, incredibly inflexible, and unable to meet the needs of companies looking to scale rapidly into new markets. Aside from being deeply frustrating, this limited many firms’ ability to innovate.
So, when we embarked on our journey, we set out to redefine what an agency could be. We created a highly efficient, borderless business model – PRWithoutBorders™ – so that we could maximise the value of talent, ideas, time, and budget for clients.
As the years have ticked by, that mission and our focus on being the perfect partner to our clients, team, media, and other partners has guided every decision we make.
We’ve been fortunate to add an incredible cast of characters to our story. From deep partnerships with clients such as Remote, OutSystems, Contentsquare and Mozilla, to our 60-strong pan-European team without whom none of this would be possible.
We’ve also been privileged to have benefited from having strong foundations from day one. I’d like to say a special thank you to Andrew Bud and iProov, our first and longest-standing client, and to my founding team members Zoë Clark, Rebecca Donnelly, and Holly Justice, who believed in Tyto from the very beginning.
A New Chapter of Innovation, Integration, and International Opportunity
While we’ve come a long way, there’s still so much more ahead.
Our goal is to help even more scale-ups to benefit from PRWithoutBorders™. That’s why we’re continuing to embrace the latest technology and new ways of thinking to unlock opportunities to maximise the value of talent, ideas, time, and budget for clients.
In the short-term, we’re focused on helping clients maximise the impact and value of campaigns through a new proposition we’re calling Awareness2Demand™, that breaks down the siloes between awareness-building PR and demand generation activities.
We’re also taking steps to further harness the immense computing power of AI to help our international team add even more value to clients at no additional cost.
Achieving this requires fresh experience, talent, and energy, which is why we’re delighted to welcome three new members to our leadership team.
- Sven Winnefeld joins as Partner, Strategy and Insights. He will head-up Tyto Labs driving innovation across AI and the agency’s proprietary data sets, the Tyto Tech 500 and Tyto Relevance Index. Our goal is to use AI to streamline and replace manual process to unleash even greater return on investment for clients.
- Kirsten Pade joins as a Partner, bringing a rare global outlook, having managed international client campaigns across the DACH region, the United States and the UK. Kirsten’s appointment strengthens and expands Tyto leadership team in Germany as part of Tyto’s unique ‘glocal’ structure.
- Beth Sissons joins as Senior Director in the UK, focused on the growth and expansion of our Awareness2Demand proposition. In Beth’s previous agency she was responsible for driving client campaigns that spanned marketing and PR, as well as the internal upskilling and evangelism of the agency’s integrated offering.
Nobody likes a spoiler – so we’re not making grand promises about where we’ll be at the end of our first decade. But with a clear mission and a talented team, we’re confident that we’re moving in the right direction.
Happy birthday Tyto. Here’s to the next chapter!
