Previously, Diego spent more than a decade in central government, including as Head of AI Policy at HM Treasury, and also served as a Senior Advisor to Indonesia’s G20 Presidency.
Diego discusses how technology policy is developed inside government, why evidence and stakeholder engagement are central to the policymaking process, and how technology companies can engage more effectively with policymakers. He also explains why understanding the priorities of different government departments is often just as important as engaging with those responsible for technology policy.
