Listen to the Tyto Tech 500 Power List on the C-Suite Podcast

27th November 2017

To mark the launch of the Tyto Tech 500 Power List we teamed up with Russ Goldsmith from the C-Suite Podcast and three of our top 10 influencers – Dr. Sue Black, Anne Boden and Jeremy Waite – for a conversation about influence, what it means to be influential, and the responsibility that comes with being an influencer. Listen to the C-Suite podcast here:

Here’s a taster of what they had to say:

Dr Sue Black, founder of #TechMums, Technology Evangelist and UK Government Advisor: “I feel like I have a mission to help people, particularly women, and particularly disadvantaged women, to feel more confident in their lives, and technology is a great enabler.”

Anne Boden, CEO, Starling Bank, had this to say on gender diversity in the tech sector: “I started in technology 30 years ago, and things haven’t got that much better. There were very few women then, and there are very few women today. We can do much better. Organisations must try really hard to get more women at senior positions.”

Jeremy Waite, Global Leader of CMO Programs, IBM: “Any true influencer never sets out to be an influencer, you set out wanting to change things. It’s the responsibility of all of us to influence whatever audience you’ve got, however big or small that audience is. That shouldn’t be to get people to buy more stuff. What we need to do is build more meaningful relationships.”
