Valerie is a Junior Consultant at Tyto based in the UK. In this role, she supports the team’s UK media relations across a range of pan-European accounts.
Before joining Tyto, Valerie gained experience in a busy press office as part of her role at Tesco Plc, where she supported the team with building proactive and reactive media responses on a wide range of incoming queries as they looked after reputation management and crisis communications.
Valerie holds a bachelor’s degree in Law with a year abroad in the US, where she also studied journalism. During her time at university, Valerie completed an overseas media internship for the Government of Saint Lucia, where she created and ran a magazine in collaboration with the Department of Diaspora Affairs. Having worked on a number of tech innovations projects, Valerie is also a natural problem solver.
With a passion for cross cultural conversations, Valerie also hosted a radio show which celebrated Black culture and the achievements of Black students on campus. She also loves producing social media content, which she does in her spare time. Beyond social media, she loves to travel and attend concerts and live performances in the arts.
Valerie enjoys working in multi-cultural teams, which is why she joined Tyto.
