Matt is Marketing Director at Tyto, where he leads the agency’s strategic marketing initiatives. With over 15 years of experience in B2B tech PR, digital marketing, and data-driven strategy, Matt is focused on driving Tyto’s growth and reinforcing its position as a leader in pan-European communications.
Before joining Tyto, Matt founded and led Priestley, a boutique digital marketing consultancy specialising in insights and strategy, content marketing, and paid media. At Priestley, he advised a range of brands, including GBG, Additiv, QStory, Upliift, Net Efficiency, and UnFound, as well as providing consultancy services to agencies.
Previously, Matt spent eight years at Hotwire, holding several roles, including Head of Insights and Analytics. During this time, he established the agency’s planning and evaluation offering, championing the use of data to inform, measure, and optimise PR and marketing initiatives. He also led integrated programmes for brands such as BMC Software, Visa, Hotels.com, Rakuten, Facebook, LogMeIn, and Global-E.
Earlier in his career, Matt worked at Speed Communications, partnering with brands including Google, Virgin Media Business, The Economist, Symantec, and DANTE.
With a passion for data-driven marketing, Matt presents the Data & Opinions podcast exploring the role of data in shaping strategy and creativity with industry leaders. He has also been a marketing mentor for Cyber Runway, a UK government-funded accelerator supporting cybersecurity start-ups and scale-ups, since 2023.
Matt’s career highlights include being recognised by PR Week in its “30 Under 30” ranking and winning the UK’s Young Cannes Lions PR Contest in 2016. He was also named a global industry pioneer in the Social Intelligence Insider 50 list in 2022.
Outside of work, Matt enjoys spending quality time with his young family in Essex, nurturing his allotment, and cooking for friends and family.
