Ashley is Tyto’s Senior Content Editor. He is the Tyto team member to call when a client needs a content strategy. He also writes his fair share of client content from thought leadership articles and press releases through to white papers. In a career that has spanned both freelance and agency work he has worked for a diverse range of companies from multinationals like NatWest, LG, Panasonic and Philips through to startups such as The Culture Trip, Kurtosys and Smart Valor. Ashley often gets to play the journalist when Tyto are media training their clients. He landed this gig as he was a tech journalist for many years mainly working for The Guardian, The Daily Mirror and many tech and consumer electronics websites and magazines.
Ashley has also worked in a senior role in a number of startups, and has a deep understanding of the issue that tech and media businesses face as they try to scale. He also has a very broad understanding of the media and is an authority on the way that artificial Intelligence its shaping its future. Ashley is an adopted Londoner who mainly moved to the capital to be within walking distance of his beloved Arsenal FC.He is also a passionate cyclist and knows way too much about the design and technology and history of bikes. Ashley loves to swim in lakes, reservoirs and the sea (especially in Suffolk) and relishes a bit of cold water. Other passions include political podcasts, George Orwell, Berlin (his second favourite city after London), 60s music, dogs and donkeys.
