Tyto Tech 500: Top 50 US Voices Influencing Europe’s Tech Conversation
The Tech 500 is Tyto’s proprietary data-driven ranking of the people having the greatest influence on Europe’s technology conversation, including individuals based in Europe and the US. Rankings are based on in-depth analysis across earned media, social media and broader digital visibility.
Key Findings for 2026
In 2025, we introduced a Global Top 100 for the first time, looking at voices outside Europe whose influence extends into the continent’s technology conversations. With 78% of that ranking coming from the United States, this year we’ve replaced it with a dedicated US Top 100.
- 56% of this year’s US Top 100 also appeared in last year’s Global Top 100. By comparison, 53% of the European Tech 500 held onto their spot year-on-year.
- AI has a much bigger presence among the US voices influencing Europe, accounting for 31% of the ranking compared with 13% in Europe.
- Entrepreneurs and business leaders make up 74% of the US ranking, compared with 33.6% in Europe.
- Journalists account for just 5%, compared with 45.8% in Europe, showing how much more US influence coming into Europe is driven by founders and senior technology leaders.
