Tyto Perfect Partners: Foxit

What did we do?

Foxit is a rapidly growing software leader providing a fast, secure, AI-powered document suite to more than 700 million users and 640,000 organisations worldwide.

As Foxit sought to accelerate its growth across Europe, the company needed a PR partner that could quickly scale its communications programme across multiple markets in the region without it becoming immensely difficult to manage internally.

At the same time, the pace of change across the tech sector, particularly around AI, meant Foxit needed a smarter approach to grow its visibility in Europe.

Foxit partnered with Tyto to strengthen its presence across the region, with a single, joined-up approach spanning the UK, DACH and France.

The impact was immediate. Foxit increased its exposure in Europe by around 300%. In France, where the company had almost no visibility, Foxit’s share of voice grew to become second only to Adobe, at one stage overtaking the company in the market.

Initial Impressions

Foxit was looking for a PR partner that wouldn’t just react to briefs, but could move quickly, think strategically and proactively push the programme forward.

The onboarding process stood out early on. Tyto invested time upfront understanding Foxit’s go-to-market strategy, positioning and communications objectives, and integrating with Foxit’s comms team and way of working.

From the client

"When we started working with Tyto, we knew they were a good fit right out the gate. They were always on, extremely detail oriented. I don’t think we ever had to hunt them down like you do with other vendors. They were always there and present and immediately felt integrated, like they were part of our team."

Making an Impact

As an international business operating across multiple regions, Foxit needed a communications partner that could adapt quickly as priorities, investment levels and market opportunities changed.

Tyto’s unique PRWithoutBorders™ approach gave Foxit the flexibility to scale communications activity across Europe without the complexity that often comes with managing multiple local agencies or siloed agency teams.

The programme quickly expanded and Tyto now works with Foxit across several strategically important European markets including the UK, DACH and France.

"Early on, we thought we just needed a presence in a few key markets, but that quickly changed when we realised how effective Tyto was. We expanded our scale and we’ve been able to improve our overall comms by having a very focused and localised approach on a country-by-country basis across Europe."

Seamless Relationship

Managing communications for a fast-growing company means balancing a lot of moving parts at once, from thought leadership and executive visibility through to product launches, regional campaigns and day-to-day corporate communications.

For Evan, working with Tyto is easy, collaborative and genuinely enjoyable.

One of the biggest advantages has been having a team that acts more like teammates than an outside agency, while also understanding the business, the market and the needs of a global comms function.

"The working relationship with my Tyto team is awesome. They honestly feel like a bunch of friends. We hop on a call, we all laugh together. It’s great. They feel like part of the team. Their culture is exactly like our culture. I wish I could just snatch them up and pop them over here."

Lessons for Multi-Market PR

One of the biggest lessons Evan has learnt from building a multi-market PR programme is that Europe can’t be approached as a single market.

Different countries require different approaches. Local understanding matters. And having a partner that can adapt quickly as needs change is absolutely critical.

"If you’re looking to launch a comms programme in Europe, I highly recommend finding a PR company that can specialise and has a deep understanding of a region-by-region context, because there are differences, there are sector specific differences, and there are different approaches to tackle that. You really need an agency that has the ability to engage on a region-by-region basis to make the programme effective. A cookie cutter approach just isn’t going to work in Europe, especially with 27 different states and new regulations happening constantly. You need a partner, like Tyto, that can adapt quickly and stay on top of it."
