Nick Taylor joins as Senior Partner, Head of Corporate, from Ballou PR where he served as MD for the UK. Liz Mead joins as a Director from Motorola Solutions, where she was communications lead for the UK and Africa. Sophie Banda strengthens Tyto’s pan-European media unit joining as Associate Director, Media Strategist.

These external appointments have been complemented by growth from within, as Silke Rossmann is promoted to Senior Partner, Head of Client Operations; Lavinia Haane and Lauren Armour to Director; and Shamina Peerboccus, Bastian Meger, Morad Salehi and Lucy Marinova to Associate Director.

Commenting on his appointment, Nick Taylor, Senior Partner, Head of Corporate, said: “Real innovation in the communications agency operating model is rare. In less than five years Tyto has redefined how cross-border PR mandates can be delivered. Tyto’s clear plan for growth alongside industry-leading client and staff retention were key factors in my decision to join the senior team.

“I was excited by the potential of Tyto, its impressive track record and the consistent quality of its work for clients. I’m looking forward to being a part of its next chapter as the agency hits a key inflection point in its growth.”

Speaking of her decision to join Tyto, Liz Mead, Director said: “As a former client working with traditional international agencies, I immediately recognised the value Tyto’s PRWithoutBorders™ model delivers to clients grappling with the complexity of European campaigns. Having worked on both sides of the client-agency fence there’s a desperate need for fresh ideas and approaches for how to manage complex pan-European campaigns. Tyto has disrupted the European agency model and built an offering that’s tailored to the needs of today’s modern enterprise.”

Brendon Craigie, CEO said: “Technology clients are grappling with significant challenges as they seek to address some of the world’s greatest threats and opportunities. We are and always will be an agency with a strong emphasis on senior talent because we believe this is essential to delivering clients the best results in the most efficient manner. The investments we are making in existing and new senior professionals represent an essential foundation for our plans to scale Tyto to meet the growing demands for our PRWithoutBorders™ model.”

Silke Rossmann, Senior Partner added: “Tyto provides internationally-minded communications professionals with a unique, borderless environment to learn and grow. This, alongside our highly-attractive remote model and culture, is making Tyto a destination for some of the tech industry’s brightest talents. I’m really proud to announce these well-deserved promotions, but this is only the tip of the iceberg with incredible talent coming through the ranks at every level of the agency.”

Brendon continued: “Nick and Liz are two of the PR industry’s brightest rising talents and we’re excited about the impact that they will have both on our client campaigns and on the agency more generally. We are equally energised to promote so many of our existing team following their continued development as strategic consultants and leaders. We invest very heavily in the development of our team through our Tyto Academy and our Future Leaders Programme and it is incredibly satisfying to see so many people grow their careers within the agency.”
