Eleanor has been a financial journalist for over a decade. Her work has been published in media outlets including Global Trade Review, the Guardian, the Wall Street Journal, Die Welt and the Economic Observer of China. Her areas of specialisation include trade, commodity, project and infrastructure markets, financial technology and innovation, digitisation, financial markets, trade policy and sanctions, as well as macroeconomic trends that affect trade.
Eleanor also has strong experience in international development, and regularly produces both analytical and research work for organisations including UNHCR, UNWTO, the Mastercard Foundation for Inclusive Growth, and the Bill and Melinda Gates-backed initiative, Women and Girls Deeply.
Her career has taken her around the world, where she has interviewed heads of state and government ministers, C-suite executives and international business leaders, as well as presented and moderated discussions at high-level conferences. She is bilingual in Spanish and English and has working proficiency in French.
